Whirling Tiger Coffee: Trendy Louisville Coffee Shop & Night Bar with Craft Lattes & Bagels

Bar at night super trendy coffee shop by day. Can’t say enough good things about these owners. I stopped in to get a coffee on a day. They were closed for maintenance. Got a chance to meet them and they made me a coffee anyway. Phenomenal Americano, and great people.

I stumbled on this place and will be back for the bar (and more coffee). The physical space is this place is hella dope, and I loved the playlist. My latte was very good, and I also tried a delicious caramel Nutella macaroon. Did I mention how cool this space is, with so many nice places to read or hang out and chat? Staff was awesome. Seemed excellent all around, amazing first impression.

If you get a chance to get here during the holidays they do an amazing job at decorating the place. Coffee is great as well, will be back some night for the bar.

Coffee shop by morning that turns into a full bar at night. The coffee was good, with several self-service drip options. Friendly service from the folks behind the bar. There is a small selection of pastries available too. If you’re looking for a traditional coffee shop vibe, you may be disappointed. Whirling Tiger’s nighttime alter ego is evident with its tinsel curtains, shag-carpeted lounge area, and faint smell of cigarette smoke.

We had the Cold Brew with sugar free vanilla, Hot Lavender Latte, Hot Carmel Latte with Oat Milk. Everything was perfect and was made so quickly, we didn't get the name of the batista but they knew what they were doing! We played some rounds of pinball and a round of the Ice cold beer. It's a super relaxed and chilled environment. We had a lot of fun and would definitely love to be back soon.

This is a very unique place hard to explain. If this is a song, country/electronic/punk style are mixed. I also like the caramel coconut cold brew. It was very quiet but i think it will be very popular soon!

I actually think this may end up being my top cafe of all time… I love a theme and variety of types of seating. This has the most of that I’ve ever seen in my life. It looks and even smells like the 80/90’s. Everything made me weirdly nostalgic. I’m not sure if another cafe (it’s also a bar and venue) will ever be as great as this one. The furniture is clearly actually from the 1970-1990s though so some things are torn and old just due to their age and wear. I even haven’t seen carpeting like this since I was a child… absolutely obsessed. So incredibly glad I got to experience this place. The photos don’t do it justice; if you are over 30, you just need to see this place. It even smells like your childhood in here. I haven’t loved Kentucky too much since I arrived but this single space changed my mind. Every room has such an amazing feel to it. You need to come here.

My fiance and I came in for coffee after seeing the long line at witches brew, this place did not disappoint! Spooky theme, perfect for the Halloween season. Exactly what my fiance was looking for. They gave great recommendations and the cofffee was delicious! She likes her coffee sweet so they accommodated that for her and were willing to add cold foam to her coffee to meet her needs! They were all very friendly. Would highly recommend!
